Akiko at your service!
I got the approvals to start doing a DevLog. This is where I will be snooping around the kitchen and sharing all the cool behind the scene things that might not fit into marketing newsletters. If you guys are ever curious about the recipes for Oshi Push, then I’ve got you covered with the ingredients, tips, tricks, and more. The bun is in the oven and I can show you all that’s cooking.
There is a lot I have to catch up on so let’s get started!
May Recap
May was packed with energy and excitement as players got their hands on our PreDebut Beta Decks and experienced their first official Oshi Push tournaments. I got to stealth attend some of these events and spy on the players. There was so many players who were cracking the code to Oshi Push, it was amazing!
After working on the game for so long, it’s been super rewarding getting to see everyone’s happy experiences with the game.
• Samples received: Acrylic frames, tokens, metal cards, cardboard storage boxes, and the cards themselves.
- The Acrylic Frame looks really cool, however, the samples we received were missing some screws and we are working with the factory on sourcing better screws for the frames. Currently, the sleeved card is held by the pressure of the 2 acrylic panels being pressed together by the screws. Most acrylic frames are done this way but the team is testing the security of this and if there are other options available for this.

Since writing this, the factory actually sent us pictures of the new sourced screws which I think look a lot cleaner. Looking forward to seeing these in person.
- The Oshi Markers are pretty solid and bright. It’s very cute to see everyone’s Oshi Markers together.
- Metal Cards had ‘some’ communication delays. The first samples as you can see are completely not what either one of us are expecting for a metal card.

If you ignore the fact that it’s supposed to be a card, it looks kind of cool. However, with further communication with the factories they are quite closer to our expected results. There are still some revisions that need to be done to this sample version. As you can see the card frame itself seems to be missing which should be an easy fix for the factory. The cards themselves are weighty which feels nice when stacked together.
- Cardboard storage looks good! Since the Kickstarter, the design was revised to include all the talents of Phase Connect. I don’t believe this was shared before so will show the new design on the sample received. The size of the sample we received was a bit larger than we imagined and we needed to adjust the measurements to a more standard cardboard box size we think will be more ideal for everyone.
- Card treatment samples were received by the team. These samples were shared with you all in a previous post and helped us ensure that each card type would be receiving the correct treatments. Some of you pointed out the lack of rainbow signature on the cards that were supposed to receive rainbow stamping. There actually was rainbow stamping on those cards but because it was difficult to differentiate and looked more like a dark bronze, it was decided to change those to a gold hot stamp.
That’s it for now.
I’ll keep gathering things in the kitchen and bringing them out so stay tuned for more!
